Put a Twist on a Common Gift with Personalized Glass!

There are several gifts that one may choose that seem to suit any occasion and any gift recipient. In fact, I have been known to keep a supply of such items in my home for those last minute gift giving occasions. The one size fits all gifts include: candles, bath and body products, picture frame, and beverage glasses. With a little forethought and planning, you can turn that ordinary beverage glass into a thoughtful gift by choosing a personalized gift.

There are many items on the market that would fall into the category of personalized glass. The most popular of these items would be the personalized wine glass. You can make it simple and just have your gift recipients name(s) engraved on a nice set of wine glasses. For something a little more whimsical, you can find wine glasses engraved with humorous wine related words such as, tipsy, toasted, bent, or buzzed. Another idea for the fun loving wine drinker on your list is the personalized graduated wine glass. This wine glass can be customized with a person’s name and the text for each measuring line on the glass can be modified to suit your gift recipient’s personality as well.

Another fun idea for a personalized glass gift is the personalized shot glass. A person who would enjoy the gift of a personalized shot glass is most likely a fun loving type, so feel free to get creative and even silly when personalizing a shot glass. A shot glass is a great place to engrave a nickname, funny saying, or silly quote. Personalized shot glasses are also a perfect was to commemorate certain events like bachelor or bachelorette parties and twenty first birthdays.

A personalized beverage pitcher can also make a great gift. Beverage pitchers can be used for everything from iced tea to beer, so again the sky is the limit when personalizing this gift. Do you have a margarita or sangria lover in your life? If so, a personalized beverage pitcher such as, “Sarah’s Sangria” or “ Melissa’s Margaritas” would be a big hit. Also, thanks to the large surface area of a beverage pitcher, much more text may be placed on this gift. So if you have a lot to say, a beverage pitcher is your best bet.

If you thought the unique conical shape of the martini glass made it impossible to personalize, think again. The martini glass makes a great gift for the sophisticated and swanky lounge lover in your life. And, this glass may be personalized too! The base of the martini glass may be engraved, making a stylish and meaningful gift for the classy friend on your gift list.

Are you having trouble deciding on what type of personalized glass is perfect for your gift giving occasion? Then you should go for one of the many combination sets on the market. You can find combinations that include a beverage pitcher and a set of glasses or simply a set of different types of glasses for your friend or loved one’s home bar. Personalizing these sets will make this gift a cherished item for years to come.

Napa Valley

The Napa Valley is a beautiful region nestled in the hills of Northern California between San Francisco and Sacramento. The valley is made up of the towns of Napa to the south, Yountville and St. Helena in the middle, and Calistoga to the north. The valley enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with warm dry summers, mild winters, and most rain coming in winter and spring. The valley is a short distance away from the bustling city of San Francisco, but the sleepy atmosphere makes it seems like it is on the other side of the world. The Napa Valley receives almost 5 million visitors a year. When most people think of the Napa Valley, they think about the world-class wines that come from the region. That is but one reason to visit.

The Napa Valley is known for its grape growing potential and famous wineries. The valley contains dozens of wineries, from the Storybook Mountain Winery in the north, to the Eagle & Rose Winery in the East, to the Hans-Fahden Winery in the West, to the Kirkland Ranch Winery in the south, and over 300 more in between. The valley is home to such famous wineries as the Beringer Vineyards, Domaine Chandon, Franciscan, and Robert Mondavi. The valley is known for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pino Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zinfandel wines that are second to none. Napa Valley wines regularly beat French wines in worldwide competitions.

In addition to award winning wines, the Napa Valley has a variety of restaurants throughout the valley that attract some of the finest chefs in the world. The Culinary Institute of America is located in the valley, which teaches some of the most promising students in the country how to create the finest cuisine possible. Many of the graduates of the institute stay local, ensuring that the talent pool remains full, while others head out into the world to bring Napa-style fine dining to other locations. The food alone is a good enough reason to visit the valley.

The Napa Valley is full of outdoor activities. Golf enthusiasts can play at PGA level courses, including the Silverado Resort. The valley is criss-crossed with bike paths of varying difficulty. Hiking and horseback riding are available in different locations. Lake Berryessa has beaches for tanning or swimming, with boating and personal watercraft available for rent. During the summer, you can catch a baseball game at the Veteran’s Home in Yountville or take a balloon tour to see the whole valley from the air.

If you just want to relax, the Napa Valley has spas and resorts that can accommodate you. Day spas and hot springs are available in different parts of the valley to pamper you and make sure that you come home from vacation more relaxed than when you left.

The Napa Valley is one of the most beautiful destinations in California, and by extension, the world. You can find anything you want, from a relaxing break, to world-class cuisine, to outdoor activities in the clean air, to award winning wines straight from the source. You just can’t go wrong with a trip to the Napa Valley.
