NDP Thugs and Security Tear Down Campaign Banners

Members of Socialist candidate Kamal Khalil's campaign in Imbaba were surprised to find out that NDP supporters and the police in the neighborhood tore all of his electoral banners down, on Saturday, 29 October.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the supporters of the NDP candidate Ismail Hilal, took down the posters around Iftar time, with the blessing of State Security police, to disrupt the socialist candidate’s campaign against the ruling NDP and Mubarak’s policies.
We condemn such actions by Hilal and the security, and we are determined to continue campaigning against Mubarak’s corrupt regime. We will do our best to expose the thuggery of our ruling cliques, and present a socialist alternative.
We call upon all freedom fighters and campaigners for democracy and liberty to join us in our struggle against Mubarak’s dictatorship.
